The Gory Animated Movie Ending That Lingers Viewers
Out of every adult-oriented cartoon movies I have ever watched, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the dread-soaked ending of a graphically gory and deeply subversive 2022 movie Unicorn Wars.

“In the early stages, it seems like a humorous movie,” the director said. “But then it turns into a more intense and sad movie. And in the finale, it’s a terrifying movie.”
Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the most playful features from an iconic filmmaker, that discover a wicked pleasure in letting animated figures swear, shoot each other, or have intimate relations.
Then it becomes something more like a bleaker film by that same director, with increasingly explicit brutality and a noticeable link to the real suffering of war.
