Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the global hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' latest album, the new release, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality turns out to be quite close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

But I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
